Because of its characteristics to withstand high temperatures, its strength and hardness and its ability to be intricately machined, it is an excellent material for long life time parts such as nozzles, light guides, bearings, wafer carriers and more. As ERPOC continues to advance the capabilities of our Materials Division, we strive to support custom development activities with key customers in the defense and aerospace industry.

Activities such as this have led to ERPOC engaging in a joint development program with another organization. We have now recently developed high quality Sapphire ingots to focus on key specific requirements for the optics market.
