The New... E.R. Precision Optical

With the start of 2011, Mark Hess, President & CEO, has stepped in and truly changed the focus for E.R. Precision Optical. Mr. Hess has recently completed a full restructuring of the company, brought in new management members to join him and is leading a new direction for the company. A lot of the new growth is still in the plans, but to date the biggest changes have included a brand new 15000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in downtown Orlando’s HUBZone and the addition of the new Materials Division, which is already growing Germanium and Silicon crystals to customer specifications. These immediate changes now enable ERPOC to be vertically integrated in the cost sensitive critical supply line for infrared materials and components for DoD companies.

The new ownership and management have streamlined the company to grow a core business for supporting custom and off-the-shelf infrared materials for advanced defense and aerospace applications with the shortest deliveries available in the market. Targeting < 3 week turn-a-rounds on material and fabricated blanks, it’s an aggressive but very achievable goal. E.R. Precision Optical becomes the US’s only supplier to grow both critical IR materials, Ge & Si, and supply generated blanks to finished custom optics.
